With this app, you can determine the standard air pressure of your target drop zone for entry into your Military CYPRES in operational mode. Weather influence at the target DZ is not taken into account.
Your destination is close to your starting position but at a different altitude:
Enter the ambient air pressure. This is displayed during the self-test of your military CYPRES.
- Press the ‘hPa’ button. In the US version, optionally the ‘inHg’ button.
- Press ‘+’ if your target is higher than your take off position or ‘-’ if your target is lower than your take off position.
- Enter the difference in altitude.
- Select the unit by pressing the ‘feet’ or ‘meter’ button.
The air pressure of your target DZ will be calculated and displayed.
Your target DZ is further away and you know the altitude of the target DZ above sea level:
- Enter the altitude value. Press ‘-’ if the target is below sea level.
- Select the unit by pressing the ‘feet’ or ‘meter’ button.
- Press the ‘hPa’ button. In the US version, optionally the ‘inHg’ button.
The air pressure of your target DZ will be calculated and displayed.
Your target DZ is further away and you know the QNH (air pressure at MSL) and the altitude of the destination above sea level:
- Enter the QNH value.
- Press the ‘hPa’ button. In the US version, optionally the ‘inHg’ button.
- Press ‘+’ . Or press ‘-’, if your target DZ is below sea level.
- Enter the altitude.
- Select the unit by pressing the ‘feet’ or ‘meter’ button.
The air pressure at your target DZ will be calculated and displayed.
You can enter a number and assign a unit by pressing the ‘hPa’, ‘feet’ or “meter” button (US version: ‘inHg’). If you now press a button with a different unit, the value is converted to that unit.
